About this piece

These Waist Beads feature 2mm, 4mm & 6mm Forest Green Translucent Faceted Rondelle Glass Beads, spaced with a mix of 6/0 Mint Green Iridescent & 8/0 Dark Green Silver Lined Glass Seed Beads, and accented with 6/0 Gold Translucent Glass Seed Beads. All Waist Beads are strung on 10 strands of 100% Mercerized Cotton Thread with a slip knot on each end for easy untying.

Choosing the right size

• First, you'll want to choose your placement, whether in the torso area for weight management, or hips area for fashion and/or traditional purposes.
• Next, you'll measure your placement of choice, being able to easily pass your finger through for fluctuation and breathing room.
• Then select the size range that best fits your measurements. Sizes are based on US Standard Women's Apparel Ranges.

How to tie your Waist Beads

• Release the slip knots on either side and fit the beads to your measurements. Keep the beads tightly together, avoiding any slack between them. You may have a few extra beads left over, have something ready to catch them.
• Find the proper fit, and only when you're sure you won't need the extra beads, you can slide them off into a container.
• Tightly tie a knot like normal, maintaining the fluctuation space, and repeat 4-5x each time tying tightly.
• Cut the string about a half of a centimeter from the knot, avoid cutting ON the knot.
• For extra security, CAREFULLY singe the exposed ends with a lighter, and seal with a good quality glue, allow to dry completely before touching skin.
• No further changes should need to be made, and now you can enjoy your new body jewelry!

How to properly care for your new jewelry

While this jewelry is durable it is not indestructible, any unnecessary force or negligence can damage your jewelry, especially over time since it's intended for daily wear. In order to extend the life of your new beautiful, handcrafted jewelry here are a few actions to avoid:

• Excessive force or sharp objects can cause the string to come apart
• Any excessive force that may cause the beads to crack or break
• Wearing in messy conditions allowing debris to embed between the crevices

Keeping your new Waist Beads clean is very simple, since they are intended for everyday wear, they get washed when you shower. Do your best to rinse all possible product out of them before stepping out the shower to avoid build up and any other potential issues, which should not occur at all with the right care!
